Live Chat

Chat with support from the Contacts window of the Trading terminal without leaving the terminal

Live Chat lets you message support from inside the Trading terminal. The chat opens on top of the terminal, so you stay on the same page and your open widgets, orders, and positions are not affected.

Start a chat

  1. Open the Contacts window.
  2. Select Live Chat.
  3. Write your message in the chat that opens.

To go back to trading, close the chat. Your conversation is kept, and you can reopen it from the same place.

Live Chat is available in the web terminal and on the mobile web trading board. On the mobile board, open the menu and select Support to reach the same list of contacts.

Replies from support

When support replies while the chat is closed, a dot appears on the Contacts entry and on the Live Chat entry. The dot clears when you open the chat.

The dot is tied to your current browser session:

  • If you reload the page, the dot does not appear straight away. It shows again after you open the Contacts window.
  • To read a reply you may have missed, open Live Chat. Replies are always in the conversation.

When Live Chat is not shown

The Live Chat entry is not displayed in these cases:

  • You are using Guest mode. Log in to chat with support.
  • Your profile has no e-mail address. Other contact options are shown as usual.
  • Live Chat is not available for your account. To ask about it, use another contact option in the Contacts window.

If the chat does not open

If the chat cannot start, the terminal shows the message Live chat is unavailable right now. Please use another contact option. The message does not block anything. You can keep trading, and market data and all other widgets keep working. To reach support in the meantime, use another option in the Contacts window.

Log out and switch accounts

Each trader has their own chat. After you log out, or when another trader logs in on the same browser, nothing from the previous conversation is shown. Log in again to see your own chat.
